Default installing 91 civic si cam into 98 DX engine

when I go an install an si cam from a 91 civic si into a 98 civic dx which cam gear am I supposed to use and how do I know where the tdc is for the cam?

My understanding is that on the 91 si engine there was a little marker on the timing belt back cover that would clearly indicate tdc of the cam. Since I'm installing my 91 si cam into my 98 dx engine do I use the cam gear that came with the si engine or do I swap it out? How do I determine the proper tdc for the newly swapped camshaft?

Is there any noticeable power gains?

thanks

that was what I wasn't so sure about....

in this case I won't bother doing it since you make a very good point.

Thanks Jakester for the headsup.
