Honda Non-Chlorinated Brake Cleaner.

$50 a case. You'll use it all.

Purple power @ Napa.

very good stuff
100% biodegradable

edit: and its 4$ a bottle.
sure carb cleaner will work faster, cant compare it to simple green though. either one will clean it to bare pot metal.

I don't mean the entire case on one engine. I just mean it gets used, one way or another. I bought a case about 6 months ago. Went through three cans tearing down a transmission. I've used about four cans since then. It was well worth the money. I like the Honda stuff because it sprays more at once than other brands, and is a more concentrated stream rather than a spray.

Still the same stuff as Simple Green ... won't touch the power of parts/brake/carb cleaner.

I've used it, and it's just a biodegradable degreaser. It's nowhere near as powerful as brake cleaner for stripping off dirt, paint, oil, and grease.

Absolutely. It'll make it look a little dry at first. You can always get a Mother's Powerball and some mothers aluminum polsih and go to town.
