Default OT: floor press machines

Looking into getting a shop press, dont need anything crazy. Just wondering if something like a 6-ton press is strong enough for things like tranny bearings, wheel bearings, bushings, ball joints, etc. Harbor Freight has a 6-ton for like $70 or so and Im wondering if its sufficient.

Funny you mention this. I have a 20 ton hydraulic press at my house that I have to get rid of before I move to kansas city. Send me a pm if you're interested.

Noooo! Don't sell your press, bring it to KC and we'll have bearing-pressing parties.

If it's just for personal use, I would recommend them as well.

6 ton is way too small, start @ 20 or 30, trust me.
