Default Any 14 inch wheel Street Mod guys

Is anybody using this set up with 225 50 14's on team Dynamic 7 inch wide wheels

What or the pros and cons

I currently have 13 by 9 inch Kodiak's with 215 50 13 V710s on a Supercharged civic , planing after the motor build to have about 200 whp. I would like to have some more meat on the ground but don't want to go with 15's. I cant seem to find any 14 by 8 inch wheels either

My tire choice is the Kumho product also pics would be great to

Shane

imho, 14's are too middle of the road. many people go 13's for less weight and increased gearing. on the other side of the coin, people run 15's and swap finals/gearing in the tranny.

a taller tire like a 15, will be more condusive to higher horsepower. with the 275's coming out, you will see those on all the serious fwd contenders. that tire alone is worth ditching the 14" setup.

Hmm what do you consider high horsepower?. I notice you run a staggered set up How wide are you rear wheels?
And what kind of wheels do you have on the front. I have a set of 949 wheels coming they are 15 by 8 inch I was going to run those on the street but Im thinking of maybe picking up a extra set for the race tires.? At least these will still fit under the fenders. They have a 6inch backspacing

setup for this season will be 15x11 fronts w/ 15x7 rears.

Sm Is the class for me My car is very competitive here in Canada. I only make so much money and I cant offerd to have the body of my car hacked to poop, I manged to beat some high dollar cars in Packwood and blew away the competition in Vancouver. Rodney I think you proved everybody wrong in your car and Its not of the deep end except for the flares. I working on a budget it simple I have to cut corners sometimes. Its still a tough chioce going 15s is going to ad about 15 pounds to the car.

i have no $, but in order to make a fwd fast, you need to step up the track/width up front. very simple, yet very effective. running any less then a 9" wheel w/ 225's, and you are just sticking it to yourself. shane, hit me up on aim, i am usually on most of the day.
