Default the engine just died

so i was on my way home from a fresh new paintjob on my crx and on my way home my car dies at a light. trying to turn the car over, it sounds like its trying to start but cant, it just sounds normal except it doesnt start. No funny sounds or anything, me and my friend think its something to do with the timing belt. can anyone help me out?

check for spark. If there is no spark look at the coil, plugs, wires, ect. If all that checks out good take off the valve cover and look at the timing belt
