Power window/lock conversion
Ok i have my own parts car and im swapping the power windows locks. In the FAQ it doesnt reall explain much. It says you need the harness from the door to the ecu. WELL... from the drivers side i got fine, but the passanger side runs into a larger harness that splits and half goes to the engine bay and the other half to the door i believe. I havent checked but will the harness i need have its own connectors to my ecu or will i need that whole harness. Is there a plug just for the passanger side power options?
I don't completely recall but I think you need to remove the tape around the grouping of wires. The ones you need will be able to be seperated easily.
and the wires that you need JUST for the power windows/locks will have their own connector in the ecu or do i need to redo all that wiring.
im going to check my manuals to see if that colorcodes are the same. This is for an EG...
btw this is ex panels from a coupe to a DX hatch.

I did this about 4 months ago on my 93 civic dx from a 94 ex coupe. Basically, the way i did it was i took all of the wires that had to do with the passenger door and i pulled them out of the floor harness. If you do it that way, you can just rewrap the wires you pulled and not have to cut or spice anything.
Let me say it again, that huge harness has the wires for a lot of ****, so what you wanna do is unwrap it and pull ALL of the door wires away from that harness so you can put those in your other car.

I also did this conversion on my 95 hatch. You don't need all those wires going into the engine bay. You only need the pass. door wires that will connect to the plug on the other end of the driver underdash wire harness. If you follow the wires and where it goes, you'll see which one is which. Hope this helps.
thanks, i was trying to varify that there was a seperate connector for the door harness, and that its not part of the main harness.
here's a website http://repo.jackmoves.com/v/erik/albun31/albun42 this should help you on how to do it. does anyone know if integra power windows fit in an eg hatch? i have searched and it was kinda weary answer.
well there's a guy that just wrecked his car and i can get a good deal for his power windows and i want to know if they will fit in like the civic coupes? i heard both answers and kinda confused.
well i know the inner panels wont, and i doubt they have the same mounting points. Id search for an online Haynes(or equivalent) and see what they say on window removal and you might be able to eye if the parts are even close to fitting.
