Wrist Pin Question couldnt find answer in archives or search please help
Rebuilding a DOHC ZC (all motor setup no boost plans)
and i've run into a bit of a problem...
my conrod order got mixed up so i figured why not upgrade the conrods.
i found these and are decently priced and lighter:
http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAP...&rd=1
but from my limited knowledge of engines and earlier searches on this topic i believe i'll be in the market for new pistons; as these are for floating wrist pins and my stock pistons are pressed wrist pins. (please correct me if i'm wrong on anything)
so my questions are:
-Can i install these conrods with my stock PM7 pistons?
-Are the nippon pistons commonly seen on ebay pressed pin as well or can i use them in the float setup with these rods?
-if i cant use these rods with a pressed pin piston can anyone recommend a good brand and a link, so i can order some decent pistons that will not run me an arm and a leg and keep my compression ratio the same or slightly raise it?
also on a side note lightened conrods and pistons, will it be enough to notice it in engine performance? like a lightened flywheel?
