Default LS Turbo or GSR?

I'm picking up an EJ1 shell for cheap in the next week and i'm totally lost at what i should do. I narrowed down to either a GSR motor + a few bolt-ons and tune or LS motor + turbo and tune. Can you guys please state the pros and cons of each and which one will be cheaper. I have about 5k to spend but I also want to my the car look nice too, so I don't want to cheap out in the suspension/appearance section. thanks.

Search, this has been talked to death...

but for my money, I'd go with LS-T over GSR. GSR will cost you $3-4K with ihe and tune. LS-T will be about the same. GSR will get you High 14s at 160-170whp. LS-T will get you 13s-low14s at 200+whp, and more torque. I'd say start with LS motor, get your suspension and kits and piece your homemadeturbo with whatever you have left. Just my $0.02

But if you want street legal, then go GSR.

Thats a hatch though, in an EJ1 you are looking at like high 14's for sure on a stock set up. I had a GSR in my car, and with what i know now i would most likely go for the LS-turbo.

LS-T will rape a GSR and if you throw a rod it's only a 200 dollar block.

LS-T FTW!!

(reported, this has been covered 100 billion times.)
