you shouldnt push your car while the engine is cold if its not at normal engine temp dont pound on the engine.

you shouldnt drive at all because when its cold your oil drops to the bottom.therefore your messing up your engine.let it warm up for about 2 minutes depending on how cold it is.

when you crank and turn on your motor oil is instantly being pump around. there's really nothing serious of reving your engine that high and taking off but you shouldn't be doing it. only thing that might be an issue is wasting a good amount of gas. when you rev that high it will warm up the engine faster. it is not necessary to warm up your car few minutes each morning before taking off unless your car has some type of problem already. reason a car always idle higher than normal because there is something call a FITV(fast idle thermo valve). honda made that to let in air more when cold coolant is running through the FITV. the hole that is doing this is in your throttle body if you guys want to see it. its very small. when the motor is worked in and friction has created enough heat to warm up the coolant the warm or hot coolant will make the FITV stop letting extra air in the tiny hole and thats why your rpm idle slowly drops to normal rpm when your motor is fully warm up.

so really its not bad just waste of gas and well like they all said. you shouldn't be driving like that.
