odd startup staling and fuel pump noise

odd startup staling and fuel pump noise
for the last 3 days sometimes i start my car and it idles for a second then stals....then i can fire it up and i drive....
also when at a dead stop my holley 255cc gets very loud and my idle drops to like 100rpm (usuall idle is 800rpm) but doesnt stall..could this be a fuel problem,,,,i have a good fuel setup..
