oem bottom end lsvtec turbo quick question
alright i have a bastardized pile laying around that will equate to an lsvtec turbo set up. nothing wild, im not looking to set the world on fire. just a properly clearanced new oem bottom end set up.
my question. which oem piston would be best in combination with a vtec head and CTR cams? i know straight LS pistons would yield the least compression but GSR piston are VERY flat and have the valve pockets in the correct place to allow for a little cam gear tuning. i know the ls pistons will clear CTR cams, as this isnt a very radical cam.
let me know your logic behind it. i think with gsr pistons an lsvtec wit ha pr3 head is at about 10.5:1cr

i think you should get some aftermarket pistons. if not then i would say it doesnt matter, LS or GSR wont make much difference besides the slight change in compression.

i dont feel like getting aftermarket rods to go with those pistons and i dont feel like modding them to use a honda rod style wristpin. rather just throw fresh honda pistons in it and keep it under 10psi. im not trying to mkae 400hp.
