OEM Oil filter confusion, any help??
I haven't changed my own oil in years because i got in trouble removing engines etc in the front yard.....Anyways i wanted to change my own oil this time around so i went to the dealer to get my oil filter and they gave me one that is much smaller then the one i have on there already. My mechanic who changes my oil uses a bigger OEM filter. The dealership told me they have switched to smaller filters that fit almost all Honda engines. So heres my question, my mechanic has been using the bigger filters and honda says its ok to use the small filters. Has anyone had any problems using the smaller filters????
the smaller filter is good, they change it like a year or so ago.
too bad most of the oil filter gripper can't fit the slim filter.
they pretty much replaced the whole line of the filter except for couple of honda

i don't think they hold as much based on the size difference from the outer shape.
honda's new filter suppose to bump up the oil pressure which is good
