Default Help Request: Slipping transmission.

Ok here is the problem. I have a stock 1998 Accord with the 2.3.

The transmission has a horrible slip, predominantly in the lower gears. If I give it any real amount of gas, it will just rev up. I was wondering if anyone had a place where I could pick up a cheap used transmission? I plan on putting it in myself with the help of a friend who works at a Honda dealer. Thanks in advance!

well you could call honda of america to replace your transmission out of goodwill or talk your way into getting them to pay half and you pay half for the labor and transmission. but if you are looking for an aftermarket tranny, i heard Dr. Evil trannies are good.

I would either call honda and see what kinda warrenty is still avaliable. If not, start with the cheap stuff first. Check fluid level/colour first, the move on to things like filter, valve body, torque converter etc...
