Default Changing from auto to manual transmission

Is it possible to change from auto to maual transmission? I have a Honda Civic Ex, 1999 model, no mods except for audio system. If it this is possible, how hard is it to do, and how much would it cost?

Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks.

It isn't that hard but at the same time it isn't that easy..

You need the tranny used= 250+
ECU (your will always look for the tranny) 150
Shifter linkage (probably get that cheap since people swap there SOHC's for DOHC's) 50 bux.
And probably some wiring.
Might need to purchase the flywheel and clutch seperate....(I would get a new clutch). 350+

If you are paying someone that is going to cost a lot and you won't know what they did or didn't do.

its a time consuming job. If you know what you are doing then its not that hard. If you want all the parts i can get it for you.

Allright guys that was very helpful. Yes, I was thinking that sometime in the far future I could get a B18C1 engine or maybe better who knows... they come with transmissions too I believe so if I'm really bored I might attempt to do some changes myself. However, I have a lot to learn.

If you feel inclined to give me more info about parts and such, feel free to do so.

Again, thanks a lot your help is very appreciated.
