Car wont rev up after its started...
Well I dont have a tach in the car right now, but I am guessing at about 3000 RPM, i hit like the fuel cut off(or revlimiter it feels like), and the car wont rev any higher, i have to switch gears, and it does it again. Now we just swapped the motor in, so its been doing it since its been in the car. We timed it a few times(cam timing), and right now its perfect. We are guessing the distributor is frying... But this is the same ZC distributor I used with my last ZC. I am using the TEG ECU, and I am throwing codes 10 and 14, Intake Air Temperature, and Intake Air Control Valve. Any ideas are welcome, thanks in advance...
check the crank position sensor wires, is you CEL on for code 4 and not 14? usually if your engine wont rev over 3k, it would be the crank position sensor

This is steves friend, Its kinda feels like fuel cutoff but it also kinda makes a popping noise when it starts to do it too its weird, We have redone the timing 5 times so we are for sure its not that.
we got a new computer i can try, so we will try that today, i suggested it yesterday, but i am not sure, hopefully it will be something simple like that..

Distributor or ECU, happend to me and a friend testing an z6 distrib with PM6 ecu on a Z6 swap in an 91 HF and 90 SI. When we tested the z6 distrib we got the crank angle code and couldn't rev past 3000rpm, switched to A6 distrib on a Z6 motor and could rev to 7500.
I miss my Z6 CRX
, even though the swap gave me so many headaches
