i picked up an oil cooler kit that happens to fit in the same spot that the power steering cooler does. and my first thought was hell delete PS... but im a bitch and i like my PS, so i was thinking about just looping the lines so there is no cooler. has anyone done this? do you think it would be a bad idea? i do track the car but idk if PS fluid gets that hot to need a cooler.

Unfortunantly todays noobs like AwesomeR just have big mouths, and really don't know **** which is why they respond in the way they do.

To answer your question, I would not get rid of the cooler (you do need it) but it can be relocated in a different location, you could try extending the lines.

 

why exactly is it needed and what would happen if you removed it.

 

im going to update this thread when i get home, im at work right now.

i was able to relocate it and fit the greddy oilcooler kit

sorry they are huge for now, ill edit it soon:





the stock PS cooler has the U shape then an offset it connects to the stock rubber lines.
pretty much what i did was cut the U shape at the ends just before the offset and used hose about 3feet long cut it in half, and connected the ends to the stock hard lines running down the frame.

the only thing i wish i had was the tool to flair the ends of the PS cooler lines.when i get a chance i may pull the bumper off and do that.
