power steering
is there anyway to properly remover your power steering? i was told ur steering could lock up if u just take it out because there will be no fluid. this kinda sounds stupid but i just want to know before i take it out.

If you loop the P/S lines together you will retain the fluid and the closed nature of the system. You will just lose any assist.

or you can do it the proper way and replace the rack with a non p/s. doing things the right way is the difference between pros and joes.

I wouldn't necessarily say that's the "proper" way, as many people prefer the faster ratio and simpler approach of a converted power rack. A converted power rack was good enough for the Realtime Racing ITR's, and I'd hardly call their race team "joes".

see is what happends is if you didnt buy a car that needed new motor mounts and have to change the braket and have to remove the power stearing pump none of the would have happned actully if you would have just read the bottle and seen that it was not recomended for hondas you wouldnt be goin through this problem get at me

just remove the power steering pump and loop the lines back to the reservoir. Its clean and you still have a place to make sure that you have enough fluid. you just dont have any pressure easing your steering. You dont have to add a breather or remove the rack...its easy, you have no power steering and your done. before you remove the power steering pump, try driving it around without the belt and see if you like how it feels.
