Will S cover bolt right up if i have an E cover
i have an sc61 with an E housing and im wanting to get the S housing, if i get the S will it bolt right up. so far ive heard it does and i heard you have to send it in because the backing is different any info would be great
After swapping covers, you do not need to balance the turbo. You will need a new backplate, compressor cover, bolts, and clamps. The compressor wheel needs to be torqued in a certain manner, so when you get to that point, please contact us directly at (219)996-7832 and ask to speak with the Repair department.
Thats what precision told when friend ask how to change gt35r e -> s

And why, dare I ask, do you feel like you need to upgrade to the S-cover? People have made ~630 WHP on the E-cover, and nobody has shown any real gains of switching to the S-cover.
How could a bigger cover not make more power? It has a bigger inlet and outlet. Yes it may be minor but thats allowing more airflow.
i upgraded from an sc61 to a t3t67 ( e-trim housing to s-trim ) w/ the same size turbine wheel and increased HP by about 40 hp on the conservative side..
Funny thing too, I seemed to fall out of boost w/ the sc61 while shifting, but w/ the t3t67, that didn't really happen..
So go ahead and upgrade if u can find a buyer.. Lucky for me, I did..
