exhaust issues
A year ago i purchased a 2002 civic lx, since then i have been deployed in afghanistan.. over here my resources are limited my question is if i replace the exhaust (included header) and used the EX parts is it 100% compatable?
Like you mentioned... to replace the exhaust on the LX, to EX specs, with an external cat, you would need the ENTIRE exhaust stream past the cylinder head... to include:
Manifold
B-Pipe/Cat converter
And if you want to avoid fabrication to get the LX cat back to bolt up to the EX cat pipe, you will need an EX cat back. The exhaust connections on the EX pipe, and the LX cat back are different. So unless you plan on welding, just get an EX cat back too.
Hope that helps.
