I bout a hatchback for cheap that had a crappy alarm system and stereo install.

I ripped all the old alarm system out, old stereo etc and rewired the stock harness.

Well now the car won't start. It just clicks. I got to looking around, and I don't have anything hooked up to the starter solenoid. I don't know how I ripped it out too, but I did.

I suspect this is my problem. Where does the starter solenoid lead originate? The small wire with a spade terminal on the end, not the large wire that comes from the battery. I want to wire it back up, but I don't want to blow anything.

 

if im thiknin of the correct wire i think it goes into the fuse box on the shock tower

 

Yes, but I need to know exactly where to connect it. I don't have any of the lead at all.

 

the wire originates at the ignition switch (black with white stripe) and runs into the under dash fuse box and then to the starter relay - comes out of the starter relay as black with red stripe and runs back to the under dash fuse box to fuse #2 - comes out of the fuse box at fuse #2 as black with white stripe and runs to the starter solenoid

 

Thanks jlicrx. Wired it up to the black with white striped wire coming out of the ignition leads and it works perfect now.
