Default overheat light always on?????

Hey guys,

The little red dash light with the two bars with squiggly lines comming off it is always on. It comes on as soon as the key is turned. What exactly is this light and what do I do to remedy it?

Cheers Greg

Can you take a picture of the light you're talking about? If I've seen it, your description isn't bringing up anything in my head You could MS-paint it too, if you don't have a camera.

If it is an overheating indicator, have you checked to make sure it's not actually overheating?

Sorry its so rugged but that's pretty much what it looks like

I think it's that "JDM Exhaust Overheat" light.

really? well like i said it comes on before starting up so its not actually overheating.

I just replaced the oxygen sensor and arent throwing any codes. I might just check the secondary o2 sensor. thats the only thing not plugged in.

That looks like a catylitic converter on fire...I don't have that light, but I'll bump this because now I'm intrigued. I'm sure one of the JDM fanboys here will know.

my ITR gauge cluster had that on it too. It seems like an exhaust overheating light. My first thought was the cat, but I thought jdm cars didn't have catalytic converters. I looked on google for awhile but couldn't find much. The only thing I can think of is buy a jdm owners manual and find a transalator good luck i wanna know what happens
