how long can a new block sit before being run???

Default how long can a new block sit before being run???

im gonna have my block built up soon, but i might have to have it sit in my garage for a few weeks after then. is that good? i do have iron sleeves and i dont want then to begin to pit or anything.

I built my block and had it sitting in my garage for over 6 months. Everything was lubricated well and no problems after I installed it.

Spray wd40 in any holes and fill the cylinders with paper towels covered in wd40.

You'll be fine.
