Default revs still not increasing with eletrical load.

hey guys, i replaced my alternator today with a re-conditioned unit for my b16a. i was told that it was likely a failing alt that was not sending the correct signal to my ecu to increase the rpms.

basicly when i start the car it idles fine, as soon as i switch on the side lights the revs drop 200 rpm and remain there. even if i rev/drive it it still refuses to idle at the correct rpms.

any ideas as to what is wrong? or rarther what i should check and how.

cheers
