Default 1998 Accord P0420 code ?

I got the P0420 code I cleared it and it came back in. I Know that I have to replace the catalytic converter but I don't have the cash to do it, I have read somewhere that there is a device that you can buy and it will fool the OBD into thinking that the catalytic converter is fine and this will keep you CEL off, can you guys point me in the right direction. I need to know where to get it and how to connect it, thaks for your hepl.

Let the workers deal with it, my car does the same thing, sometiems if your cat gets splashed or rapidly cooled it can't work to capacity, my heatshield fell off, probably a cause.

What workers are you talking about? I called the dealer and the catalytic converter is $670.00, that dosen't include installation. I figure if I can spend around $100 and fix the problem with this device that I've read about if I can find one.

funny thing, ive got the same P0420 code going off im my 2000 right now haha, ive either gotta replace both sensors or the cat, im assuming itd be the cat, since there are like 15 other codes that i would have gotten if the sensors or the sensor circuits or **** were bad

i wanna take the ghetto way out and do the defouler thing, but even then i dont wanna drill **** out, i know ive seen one of those defouler type things pre made before, by an actual company like mugen maybe?

haha, good one, i dont really give a rats *** about the environment as far as gutting the cat or whatever, but the real thing that im worried about from the po420 code is that im losing fuel mileage cuz of the sensors going into closed loop mode or something, also losing horsepower and hurting the motor by not running a consistent AFR of 14.7

If it's the secondary o2 sensor it has absolutely nothing to do with how your motor runs. the second sensor is there to tell you when the cat is facked.

or

I have a gutted cat and no secondary o2 sensor and get 32mpg hwy

both are true
