Default m22xx vs Buddy Club Spec 4+

I'm currently running Buddy Club Spec 4+ cams. But just looking to squeeze out a few more horsepower, and I can sell my current cams relatively easy. It's running on my 1.8L with 12.5:1 compression. I know on paper the m22xx have a more aggressive VTEC lobe but how is it in real life? I'm currently making a tad over 200 whp on the Buddy Club Spec 4+. Would it be worth it to change?

M22xx Are not going to offer an exciting peak hp number, They should be pretty similar.

However an m22xx will most likley beat it in low-midrange.

I personally would not swap them if I already had them, I would look to make power elsewhere with that budget. More tuning never hurts, and if you do not have one already go for an smsp imo.

Whaaaat?? The M22 cam profile typically peaks very high and loves big rpms, in certain motors they have peaked at 9.5 ish with the right intake and headwork. What is this motor used for and what valvetrain are you using? What are you currently revving to?

I meant that they would not offer a huge gain if any up top over bc4's. I know they are top end monsters lol.

Ferreara valvetrain. Here's his spec sheet; https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1716010.

Only major changes that I know of now are SMSP header and exhaust.

As Ali said, using Ferrea valve train. Take a look at the linked dyno graph for my peak, however that was with a different header and exhaust, currently running an SMSP Header and Exhaust.

I say make the switch and post they dyno I personally have no experience with either BUT if given the option the m22xx would be near the top of my list.

Polished vtak solenoid makes a crazy thunderous sound when VtAk kicks in!
