Help Please!

Just a heads up I am not very auto savvy, but I will try to explain my problem the best I can.

I have a 95 Honda Civic Del Sol. My problem is that when I accelerate I hear a knocking noise. The noise defiantly sounds like it is coming from the front of the car, probably the engine. If I barely accelerate I do not hear anything but if I accelerate at a decent pace I can start to hear it. Also the more I accelerate the louder the sound.

Just to clarify, when I say I accelerate I mean I give the car gas. I just got to thinking that could mean as I as moving faster. Sorry.

Anyways, I have plenty of oil and it has been changed recently. The engine was flushed also.

This is about the extent of my knowledge on cars. Can anyone help me?
