I will be purchasing a 92 hatchback for my new project/beater car
YAY!!!! less miles on my Toda ITR
right now I'm looking for a motor for the hatch I have 3 choices
b18B
B18c1
B16

all three will have a LS tranny will type r flywheel and type r LSD
it will be resleeved and turbo'd as well w/hondata
which motor should I get????

 

IMO, I would have say the B18c1 with boost.

 

Should be a nice combo a 200+whp all motor R
and a 275whp or so 92 turbo hatch

 

If you're going to boost, boost it right with a B18B or B20

Where's B20 in the list?

B20 + boost kicks some serious a$$! There's no replacement for displacment for some applications.

 

B20=too much $$$$$
I'm looking at motors 1500 or so for a complete longblock

 

Keith: LS/VTEC or B20/B20VTEC with boost.

 

b18c..keep it simple and don`t let it "snowball". Building two cars aint easy on the wallet.

 

don't like LS/VTEC or CrVtec...just not a fan of them especially with boost

whatever you do, just dont get a b18c5 or you're automatically labeled as a theif or "hybrid hatchcrap with a stolen motor" !!

I have a 95 B18C1 block with Eagle rods and Endyn/Wiseco 81.5mm low compression pistons. Not assembled yet, but all the stuff is in my storage unit ready to roll.
