Default It's Crunch Time and There Are A Few Q's Left

Ok ladies and gentlemen, it's almost crunch time. Taxes will be back in about a week which means that weekend will be turbo install time. Now, here is a checklist I have made so far of what I have and what I have to get:

I Have:
FMU with proper vacuum tubes
Wastegate
Chargepipes
Intercooler
Tap for the oil pan
Line for oil return/oil feed line
Fresh oil/oil filter
turbo timer/boost gauge
Hose clamps/vacuum T fittings
Proper T tap for oil feed line from the oil sending unit
Downpipe
Obviously the turbo and manifold

I Need To Pick Up:
Charge pipe couplings
Dump tube for wastegate
Aftermarket fuel pump
Couple of misc. bolts

Can anyone think of anything that I'll need to actually get the get on and functioning? Also below are some pics that I am confused on. ON the BOV picture, does ANYTHING need to be connected to it? If so, where do they go? Or are these fittings just for vacuum/boost for the boost gauge?

I know this is the oil feed tap:

And I know this is the oil return tap:

However there are these ports that are threaded on the front and back of the turbo where it bolts to the exhaust half of the setup...it doesn't appear that anything has ever been in here but is there something that should go into these? Sorry for the long post however I want to make sure that I have everything up and ready to go because when I install this it will be over a weekend, and then 1-2 vacation days away from work to get it tuned at a tuner. Please help and thank you in advance.

Also...does anyone know the millimeter that the turbonetics deltagate II is so I can find the proper dump tube size?

Also I know I have to hook up one line on the BOV to a vacuum source, would that be the steel hole that is bigger, on the side of the BOV?

the bov needs to be connected to a vaccuum source, like the intake manifold.

the holes in the turbo are for coolant lines. you dont need them as long as you let the car idle for a couple of minutes after driving.

the deltagate i want to say is 35 mm, but im not entirely sure, it could be 38.

Cool thanks, I just wanna make sure I order the correct size dump tube. I'm getting excited since it's so close to putting it in. I love working on cars of course and this will be a new project for me so it's gonna be fun.

The delta gate is 35mm and I would HIGHLY recommend ditching it.

32mm (at least the old ones were)

Exactly why I am doing all the searching I possibly can...right now all I need is an elbow connector for the charge pipe, the couplings for the charge pipes, the actual fresh oil itself, and a couple more sets of vacuum line for the BOV, Wastegate. But either way, what I'm doing is on the weekend I'm going to install it, I'm taking 3/4 day off of work on that friday to start it, then working on it the whole day saturday and sunday, then on monday taking for a tune and taking a day off work there too. (Vacation days, gotta love to be paid to install a turbo kit) That way during the weekend if I need anything I can hop in my girlfriends car to go get any unforeseen parts.

EDIT*** Would a picture of the wastegate help to determine it's size?

OH I will, but right now I'm just goin for minimal boost (10 PSi max, starting out at only 7) If I move to 10-12 bracket, I'll upgrade for sure, but for now I'm just gonna save up for the chipped ECU. So is it confirmed, is it 35 or 32 mm, cause I found a nice dump tube that will fit a 35 mm wastegate.

A picture with a tape measure up against the WG's valve would help, but by that time, you'd see for yourself how big it is.

Shister66 is right about the ems. Seeing as how that looks like a 50 trim T3, I'd guess its going to be very rich most of the time. Speaking of the turbo, are you absolutely sure it wasn't spoking on the last car? It looks like it was spitting oil out of the compressor outlet to me.

I don't think it has been but I'm not sure. I purchased it from a fellow h-t member. I did take the entire kit down to our local tuner and they said the turbo looks good and ready to go so they didn't detect any problems with it...I dunno.

Im looking at that return line fitting for the turbo and it looks to me just like a barb fitting? So I assume you are just going to be running a hose with a clamp from the turbo to the oil pan? Honestly get a new fitting and run a threaded properly designed oil line, not a hose and hoseclamp!

Got that on lockdown already, but thanks for the suggestion! Everything helps mang! Ordered a cheap *** dump tube (who cares I mean, it's a tube that directs random gasses) So I gotta get oil pan gasket...fresh oil... and a few vacuum lines and I am ready to go. Then in a couple months some NOS FTW..maybe haha that's way in the future though.

Au contraire, I remember reading awhile back on a post of Jeff Evans, that he made an additional 15whp from placing the dumptube below past the oil pan as to not have the spent exhaust gasses reentering the turbo. Now again this is h-t and you cant believe everything you hear and it doesnt always apply to everyones setup!

You do bring up a very good point..the one I got is a little angled and goes straight down, so if necessary I'll ghetto fab an extended piece to it, or have someone weld a longer piece to it...i just needed to find somethin cheap that hooked up to the wastegate with an actual flange, which I found so it works.
