brakes suk! cant stop
alright my rommate has a 03 accord coupe. she tells me she needs new brake pads so i buy them, go to put them on and wut do you know, they are perfectly fine. so i notice the rotors look warped so i buy new rotors. i replace them along with the new pads and the car acts the same way. umm when im coming to a complete stop the passenger front tire locks up as if it were on ice or wet surface. the abs in the rain is crazyyyy. i have to press really hard on the pedal to stop the car. it sucks she, or we have to drive slow *** ***. at every stop the abs kicks in like if i slammed on the brakes i blead the brake and it seems fine. any help before going back to honda???????? has this crap happened to n e 1 else???
not that this has happened to me but... how do you tell a rotor looks warped? If it's so far out that you can see something is seriously wrong.
ABS shouldn't be activating every time you stop should it? I wouldn't expect it to in the rain.
Did you get craptastic rotors? Sounds like either a ABS thingy (is the light on?) or isn't it possible for pads to get glazed?

i replaced them with wearever gold. the best ones that discount offers. i use those on my itr brakes and they work like champs. i pulled the abs lever thingy and turned it off. the brakes worked good *** *** but the tcs doesnt work. im just gonna take the car to honda tomorrow to see if the warranty covers the booster and abs pump.
why are you guessing at parts? who says that just because the abs is coming on means its the pump? Have you ever stoped to check the calipers? maybe the problem is in the rear. we had an '01 civic come into the shop with an abs problem similiar to yours. The rear wheel cylender was leaking, it soaked the shoes and the one wheel wouldent stop, so the abs thought it was in a skid. Check the sliders on the caliper bolts as well as the piston itself. check the rear brakes as well. Its never a good idea to throw parts at something and hope that it will be fixed.

tru wut fanatic says. none of the calipers leak. all pads are chunky, rotors are fine. im just dropping the car off on the weekend at honda. cars is very scary in the rain. i aint tryin to rear end someone. well thanx for replies.
make sure you didnt put the pads upside down they tend to walk out of their seat making it feel like they need bleeding. and also reinstall the little phillips screws that hold the rotors in place don't expect the wheel to hold it.
haha, you think its those 2 dinky screws that hold the rotor to the car? I would put the studs over those stupid screws any day. Those screws are more of a convenience then for safty. Its the studs and wheel that really keep the rotor in place

Which to you suppose has greater clamping force?
1) One little countersunk phillips screw
-or-
2) Four 12mm bolts tightened to 80 lbf*ft
Hint:
The little screw is for convenience on the assembly line; so the rotors don't keep falling off.
