my accord takes 9006 bulbs. i am planning on getting a HID plug and play kit and they ask for what bulbs i want. The d2r bulbs are bulbs that are used for reflector headlights. will the d2r bulbs fit into my OEM 9006 sockets?

9006 goes into 9006 socket

vise versa for d2r,h4,h1, 9005, etc

d2r is more commonly featured for HID projector for japanese import than for reflector halogen.
