Default any manifolds that DON'T require cutting your block!!!!!

i;m about to order a 4 bolt garett t3/t4 .60 a/r 63

but i can;t find a manifold that has a good wastegate placement and doesn;t require you cutting a chunk out of your block for the turbo...

i thought about blox... but a buddy of mine had to cut a chunk out of his
and i thought about spoolin performance log manifold
are there any other manifolds that are log style that i won;t have to cut my block? i don;t care if i loose ac... but i do want to keep my full size radiater...
preciate the help

do you have power steering?

we were able to use it on my brother-in-laws ls teg and he had no p/s and no a/c but he keep the full size raditor

i made a manifold a year or so ago, that i didn't have to cut my block for, its a log style.

i will sell it cheap to you

thanks

i've had 2 manifolds and i've never had to notch my block....

1. SPoolin Performance log manifold--AC and PS compatible even w/ a 3" dp....good buy for the price!

2. CCFab T3 Topmount--not AC or PS compatible, but still didn't have to notch the block....also the turbo sits in a good spot w/ this turbo...running the oil line (return) was hella easy.

i asked the spoolin performance guy and he told me i would have to cut my block.... for the spoolin log manifold... or i would have to get an aftermarket radiator... did you keep your stock radiator?

FYI.........the reason why people have to cut thier block is because they use the wrong manifold with the wrong turbo.

Some manifolds were designed around a 5-bolt exhaust housing like drag for example.

Some mani's were designed around a 4-bolt exhaust housing, like max-rev.

The turbo's angle differently from the centerline of the flange.

Like he said. most of the time people complain about having to notch the block is when they run a 4 bolt housing on a 5 bolt manifold. Pretty much if you want to keep a/c always order a 5 bolt discharge.

Not true either. I have a 3" downpipe right off my 4-bolt exhaust housing, and I rock A/C

with my old car, i had a revhard cast iron manfiold and i didnt have to shave my block. and this was with a 1.8 block/b16 head and a t3/t4e turbo. im assuming and inline pro would be an identical fitment also

its just webbing, i have a rev hard manifold and i had to shave the **** out of it in order for the turbo to fit. the turbo is still actually so close it touches the block. Which is alright because it will allow me to upgrade to a 3inch downpipe without losing my ac But either way notching the block isnt a big deal and not hard to do.

I havent got it dynoed yet the "ebay turbo has been on there for 12000 miles with no problems whatsoever. (fingers crossed) Im estimating around 250whp. but thats a total guess. It pulls damn hard, ive beaten Z28's, WS6's STI's (from a roll), New style Mustang GT"s etc. so for the money i spent im pretty happy with the setup. i want to bump it up to 10psi sometime soon, i just need new injectors, a spring, fuel pump and a good tune. My friend and i are going to get our cars dynoed within the next month though just see where its at now.

i say this because its gonna save my *** in case someone wants to get a S housing turbo and complain bout block notching. theres a good chance you wont have to notch your block but im not gonna promise that because b20's, LS's and B16's all have a different webbing amount that im not going to account for.

5 bolt cast manifolds (* revhard, inline pro 5bolt, blox, UGR, meutek, etcc etcc ) technically SHOULD NOT work with 4 bolt housings. only the revhard and inline pro are even remoteley close nough to mounting but require extensive amounts of grinding and notching.

blox doesnt require an engine shave. just mount the turbo with the downpipe facing gearbox site.

No offense guy, but what's the big deal? It takes 5-10 minutes to grind a notch in the webbing. The block will be fine, it's not going to hurt it.

my friend has an integra with a blox manifold but he has the inlet facing towards the transmission and he said he had to cut a shitload off of his block to get it to fit... and that if he went a lil bit further he would of went through the block... i dunno if he was just bullshittin cause i think dad grinded it for him... but it kinda scared me..lol
