Yep, makes the Si about the same as a new CTR HASport already did a swap, took about 3 hours.

Chad: who disagrees with this post's whole premise and all the negativity it creates....but likes the fact that you can make a new Si like the european CTR with a simple (legit) swap

def disagree with this post but as far as the hasport thing, what a waste of money i can see swapping to the 6speed, but why the whole motor, it's like kids who buy itr motors and build them up instead of saving $1500-2000 and buying a gsr and building that......there both 2.0 whats the point, stock for stock yes but please.......

eerrrrhhhh....the stock SI motor makes 160hp, the stock RSX motor makes 200hp
do the math fellas and do your reseach....as of right now, what performance parts can you buy for these i-vtec motors that will make up for the 40hp difference btween the SI and the RSX...and what happens if they decide to import the RSX-R

Denial is your worst enemy....

Why do you guys automatically assume all swaps are stolen? I'd say less than 5% of them are stolen the rest are JDM engines imorted here.

Good point, but it is an option. Not everyone wants to tear down and re-build an engine up. If I were to get an Si and wanted a little more, but wanted stock reliability, a totaled RSX type S motor would be a simple option. BTW, the new CRV has the same block but 2.4 liters, so expect some variations out of that too.

Off the top of my head, the same way everyone else gets thier "all swaps are stolen" figure.

The fact is nobody knows, but it seems ridiculous to accuse someone of theft or receiving stolen property when you don't have even the slightest thread of evidence.

They get stolen here too, but I don't think that every hatch I see with a DOHC engine in it is stolen.

as for my accusing somebody of stealing...read the title..i said it starts out like this, very innocently...
Which I took to mean that you think the parts were stolen.

right, and if you were to have read the post in the link, the person wasn't even selling, he was a buyer...and that represents demand....if theres demand then supply will have to catch up....and whos going to supply?

I don't know who, but the fact is neither do you. You're making assumptions, I'm giving the benifit of the doubt.

I'm not being naive, I just refuse to be vindictive. I'm sorry you lost your car, but that's no reason to be so jaded.

This is a tiff? You need to hang around some rougher boards my freind.

I'm not trying to start a war, it just seems that many of the people on this forum are too quick to call someone a thief that's all.
