Default Ok..i know everyone on here is big turbo fans, but....

I just got my JRSC installed on my 2000 Civic Si. (b16a2) I have the upgraded pulley, and I'm seeing about 9 lbs of boost. I also have the walbro 255 lp/h fuel pump, RC 440 injectors, the upgraded pulley as I had said, and Hondata stage 2b. I was a little sketchy at the dyno tune, and started to have my doubts, but sure enough in the end I was happy. 239 to the wheels at 8000 rpm, and I am making power after that, but I dont want to quote a H.P. because it wont be accurate. The dyno was not a dyno jet, and there fore, I didnt feel comfortable with someone holding my motor at 8500 rpm for an extended period of time. However, I am very happy with the results.

The only problem that I have noticed is that the charger gets hot, and the intake manifold gets heatsoaked, and when not running hard, the idle is not constant. It goes from about 900 to 1300/1400, then back down to 900 until it cools down, and then it goes back to normal. Just wanted to post my results I am planning on building the bottom end, and buying a 3 bar map sensor, and getting another upgraded pulley so i can boost about 12-14 psi, and have that tuned with hondata as well Lates.

Ive got the following setup

JRSC with the 4.0 diameter pulley vs. the 4.2 (the one that it comes with)
RC 440 injectors
Walbro 255 lp/h fuel pump
Hondata Stage 2b
Aem intake
DC polished 4-1 headers
Apex N1 catback exhaust
Energy suspension motor mount inserts
ACT Xtreme street/strip clutch with xtreme pressure plate
STR short shifter
Arospeed Coilovers
17" ADR rims

I see anywhere from 8.5 to 10 lbs of boost depending on the weather and how hot the charger is though.. If you want to do more boost, get the 3.8 diameter pulley. That will put you at about 12-13 psi. However, you will also need to upgrade the factory MAP sensor because it will only allow 11 psi. I would also reccomend building the bottom end too if you are going to do that..

There's someone on h-t building a watercooling system for the JRSC, since it gets f*ckass hot. I think that you'd need something like that, or water injection to run 12-14psi, otherwise your intake temps could be as high as 200º!!! and your SC might lock up...

i think mine is my throttle plate being bent... or the throttle rotor. Might have tightened it too much and over time it bent outta place. or... the nitrous could fucked it up somehow (according to the dealership... no i didn't tell them i had nitrous... they saw the holes in the trunk... doh! )

odds of you bending the throttle plate are about none.

i dont think i would spin the charger that high, eventually it will start to break down.

Ya i duobt it's the actual surface of the plate itself, but the axis it turns on. like i might have overextended it by tightening the cable too tight. Kinda consistent with my TPS voltage readings... 0.52 at close and 4.58 at WOT... both #'s should be a little lower.

i doubt that as well because the TB has a built in throttle stop to prevent that
from happening.

previously had 55 shot zex, b&m fpr, injen intake. the weird idling didn't start till 3 months after selling the kit and it would be on and off... here now and by the time i get home and turn the car of then drive it again later it would be gone. never gave me the iacv CEL for a month or so until i tried to change the idle and see if that would help. after that point the fluctuating idle was constant. then the iacv was replaced by the dealership, but that didn't change anything. they told me the plate was bent and something was wrong with the a/c clutch circuit which also could be affecting the idle (they never foudn out what the problem was for sure)

turn the car on (it was already warm... was just driving it), unplug the iacv, turn the screw on the tbody till it was at a good level (like 500), then plug back the iacv then reset the ecu.
