NO problems here. 2nd gear is perfect for me. 3rd gear seems to take some getting-used-to sometimes, but now it's starting to become alot smoother.

i have the same problem. i took it to honda and they told me "well we can feel the problem, but there is plenty of time left on the warranty so we'll just monitor it over time." i am not satisfied with that response because when i miss the gear it grinds like a demon hell bitch and that just isnt right on a brand new car. the tech who test drove it with me was an old guy, and when i told him how to recreate the situation he revved to 8k, but didnt shift into 3rd until the revs had dropped back down to 6500. 2nd gear just isnt fun in this. if u search u can find the thread i started. im taking my car to a differnet dealer tomorrow since im off work.

2nd gear seems to be grindy/notchy because...if you shift to fast....they dont align quick enough so it seems hard to get in....i read that off of clubrsx somewhere....but try moving your seat up...and when you throw it in 2nd...throw it towards your body....not just straight down. that will help alot.

I'm just curious here.. but has anyone tried upgrading to a higher quality tranny fluid?

My parents bought me a civic like 6 years ago when I was in HS and I had problems getting it into 2nd and 4th I beleive. Anyways, my buddy recommended I switch out to a higher quality transmission fluid and when I did, all the grinding/forced shifts went away. Maybe this will have the same easy fix?

The only gear I have ever had an issue with is 3rd, and only when its cold. It tends to pop out occasionally when its cold.
