How do I know when it's time for new rotors?
From your other thread I know you have a Helm manual so look in your Helm manual in the brakes section for the specs on the rotor thickness. It'll tell you the spec for minimum thickness of the rotor. Then take some calipers, micrometers or other measuring tool and check the thickness of your rotor.
when you brake...you feel your steering wheel shake alot. thats when you can really tell that you need new rotors or need to get them resurfaced which is cheaper then getting and instailling new ones
