EF _ SEDAN _HELP
If it takes a really long time for the engine temp to go up, and you're only getting warm air, the tstat is stuck open. I had the same problem, $8 for the tstat IIRC. I had it in getting a new gas tank and got it changed then, but its really easy, just make sure you get a new gasket set for it too.
Your tstat acts as a valve with a wax pellet inside, which, when the engine is started cold, the tstat stays shut, but the coolant warms up running only through the block and heatercore, which when warm enough, melts the pellet inside the tstat and opens it, allowing coolant to run through the rad. If you're not getting enough heat due to a thermostat problem, it is likely stuck open making it much harder to warm the coolant up (which runs through the heatercore giving you heat) so, if you dont get up to temp, and if you do almost, and go on the highway and the needle drops, thats a thermostat problem. 2 10mm in the front to take the housing off.

lol chris.. i can picture you sitting on your computer reading out of your notebook.. the pellet doesnt really melt.. i thought it just expands or just gets softer.. cuz if it melted it wouldnt be a pellet anymore
