i replaced the battery, and the main relay car still wont start, can anyone please help me out thanks

 

Alternator may be bad, and check fuses.

 

which fuses do i check, i checked the ecu fuse and its good what other fuses do i need to check

 

check the fuses under ur hood near the firewall and/or check the fuses under ur dassh. this was a problem with my buddys Prelude, and we thought he blew his alternator, but it was just the battery fuse. haha

 

i went to start my car up just to se if it would and it did, it ran for about 10 seconds then it turned off, what could that mean

 

is it running rough? check to see if your dizzy is 180 out.

 

yeah if thie dizzy isnt placed right, that mite b it..but u said u changed the battery? how long ago?

 

no it runs perfect for about 10 seconds then it shuts itself off

 

i replaced the battery about 4 days ago

 

o, it shuts off by itself.....hrmmms... well, im really thinkn its ur battery, but u said u changed it, but if u changed it, not to long ago and ran on that, it would drain ur battery out and because if ur alternator is bad, then the car would b running on the battery. but thats prolly not it...so u can start ur car anytime? but shuts off every 10sec.?

 

no i can start it up itll run for the 10 sec, then itll turn off ill try to turn back on and it wont

 

yeah man im havin the same problem, and kame to find out its my alternator. kuhz when i got my new battery it ran perfect but then the nex day it began to die out on me, and when i tried turnin it on it wouldnt start, so i had to jump it. and i took it for a test, my alternator was bad. so thats probably whats wrong with urs. ur gonna need a new alternator just like me.

 

alright checked the dizzy and there was a problem with the wires, i cleaned the wires cause they were dirty and the car starts and runs, only thing is the car is ideling at 700, is that normal for sohc

 

o well thats good, atleast it wasnt anythin big and major. so thats good it runs, and about the IDLE at 700.. im not sure bout that one, never had a D series motor, so im not sure. but yeah man, its good to kno that u fixd ur problem. Take it eazy
