Boosting a ZC with an SAFC?
i know its not the best option but when the time comes to boost my ZC ill probably run an SAFC simply because it would be easier for me as there isnt really anywhere in ireland that specialise in mapping hondas and i dont fancy taking the car over to england.
the plan is for 8-10psi, probably 8 to be on the safe side. what i dont understand tho is what would i do when the turbo and everything is on the engine and the SAFC is wired in and i want to start the car for the first time since fitting the turbo. do i install the SAFC before the turbo and max the fuel supply then lean it off if needs be once its running or do i leave the SAFC alone, start the car with the turbo and up the fuelling once its running?
also if im going to run an SAFC should i also fit 330 or 450cc injectors or would the SAFC and stock injectors be able to handle 8psi?
last but not least... i want to have an idea of whats going on fuelling wise so i will run an A/F gauge. will a plain old unit work ok enough to give me warning on fuelling so i dont toast the engine? wideband aint cheap ya know...

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Got_soy »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">If you plan on tuning it your self you MUST get a wideband, no way around it, ever.</TD></TR></TABLE> x2, you're already "pushing it" by using a SAFC, but that Jungle Juice you Europeans call Gasoline will provide you a lot of leeway, just don't skimp on some quality monitoring parts.
so wideband is the only option?
fuel isnt a problem. most of the time i use 95 ron. 98 is available. occasionally 89 or 90 if in im a pinch.
could i use one of the older AFC's or should i go for an SAFC-2?
