Please Help
I have a td44 distributor on my ls/v.. the coil or ignitor was going bad so i decided to replace it.. i put the new one in, put the correct firing order and the car wont turn.. and i heard this hollow pop noise... i put the old one back in and now the car still wont turn.. it makes a loud pop noise too,,, what the hell is going on? there is no wrong way to put a distr. in!
in my book it says the firing order is 1-3-4-2 and it shows the bottom left being #1 and then going clockwise, are u sure you got the wires goin to the plugs rt #1=closest to cam gears

Assuming it's not turning over at all (as opposed to turning over but not starting), I'd check two things:
1) Fuses. If you accidentally created a ground loop you may have popped a fuse when you tried to turn it over. Check the big ones under the hood. Replace anything that's blown, then find the ground loop.
2) Starter. Coincidence may have reared it's head. If it's a stick you can try push starting it, but before wasting a lot of time huffing and puffing trying to start it with miswired plugs, I'd double-check your connections with an authoritative source - Helms or the like. If it's a slushbox, well... you could pull the starter and test it. No push start for you.
If you know the LS/V has the same firing order as a B16Ax, I can tell you what's in my Helms - it's outside in my car, it's cold, snowy, and windy, so I'm not going to pull it unless someone asks.
