header is changing purple

my header's color went from gold brown to purple color, is there anyway to fix it ?? any special thing to clean it ??

Nope, that's the way it is when you get stainless steel headers. Nothing wtong with that.

go to Pepboys or any other automotive store and buy some metal/chrome polish. it'll make it look good as new. The stuff I use is called Blue Magic something something.

it turns purple where u got oil on it, body oil from ur hands. i made sure not to touch my header b4 warming it up for the first time. mines still brownish gold. pays to do research first dont it??
