Default how do you keep a stainless steel header a bronze color

i remember seeing a post awhile back on how to keep your ss header one color. I think it was tony the tiger's car i saw it on. does anyone remember the brand of polish he used? think i'll drop him an email too.

dont touch it. the oil from your hands changes the color

To be honset i don't think that is possible.But i have heard of people using Blue Be Gone or some crap before the header is even used.The main thing is to apply the polish or whatever before the header gets hot or it won't work.

But if this does work,let me know.I heard you can get this stuff like at Harley Davidson shops.

i doo too, but i remember when i first put the header on and started the car, it turned gold!! that looked badass!!! i was hoping it would stay like that, but it didnt. i had a ceramic header before, so i didnt know about the color phases

I use Mother's aluminum polish on my Mugen header and it keeps it an even bronze color.

I can take my header back to silver if I take enough time to polish all of the bronze out of it.

Just polish it with some Mothers, or any other metal polish, about once every other week. Be sure to clean off ALL of the polish before starting your car.

Me too.

Chris, who thinks that the USDM ITR header is ugly.
