Default Surface rust on the mount part of new Brembo rotor

I have a problem recently after the first rain, my new rotors have surface rust on the mounting part right behind the wheel. The rotors are brand new Brembo slotted and cross drilled. The braking is fantatic but the surface rust its terrible, it just takes away from the nice look of it and i cant stand it. Any advice on how to get it off and once its off how to protect it. Thanks a lot.

That is just the way they are, nothing you can really do about it other than getting a different type of rotor. The stock ITR rotors do the same thing...

Just live with it...nothing much you can do unless you want to paint them.

actually, you can treat it with cadium. (plated). prevents rusting.

Too much considering that the rotors will wear out and will need to be replaced sometime.

A good track session should scrub off that surface rust.
