Shifter bushing
yea you'll have to remove the hangers to get through...i only removed the hangers right at the shifter but you can remove the axle back portion too if you want/need more room. remember to lub up the bushings really good. while you'll down there check the bolts and screws for your shifter just to see if your there loose (might as well)
I just changed out my shifter for a short shifter (99 EX coupe) and you shouldn't even really have to move the exhaust with the hangers if you don't want too. It'll cause a lot more work for you if you don't but it's not a NECESSARY move.
I was able to unbolt the stabilizer bar without removing the exhaust hangers.

There was a little vibration after the install, didn't really notice too much of a difference. But it does seem to be smoother now.

Which setdid you buy? If you bought the Energy suspension set the installation should be pretty swift without much struggle. I installed the Prothane set yesterday (stiffer than ES set) and the stabilizer bushing up at the tranny was a BITCH to push through! My fingers are still a little sore...
For the stabilizer bushing directly under the shifter I just removed the rubber hanger and set it out of the way so I could get my hands and tools up there.
