lazy?
its more work. you need to first put in the key and turn it. if it was a normal dc5, the car would of had been on my now. IF you had the start button, you would have to turn the key, THEN push the button.
its just a relay button. you can use any kind of switch and just split the wire and throw a switch in between.

It's pretty much a worthless novelty, much like on the S2000.
It kind of adds something to the interior and its just a fun little project if you have the spare time and cash.

my friend has it in his RSX and he put it in the coin pocket and when his car was broken into, he guessed that they couldn't start it because the iginition start button was in the coin pocket. It wasnt exactly the iginiton start, it was just a little button that you'd press just like the ignition start for the S duece. it was quite smart of him considering the fact that we live in a theft infested city.
So theres reason why you should have one. lol

If you have money to blow get one lol
At the end of the day, the cost of that lousy button can get you a set of HID's.

the button itself is too big to be an anti-theft mechanism. you can find big buttons like that pretty easily. if you want to have anti-theft mechanisms, look into small ones. get three. one for your starter, ignition, and fuel pump. you can set them all in different places in your car. have atleast one or two that you can easily acess and have the third as a hidden one. use the third when you want to park over a long period. you can hide it somewhere in your trunk for your fuel pump.
there are lots of ways to hide these little things, but make sure ur wires are hidden so people cant track down where the switches go.
with enough time, yes, people can find the switches and steal your car, but if you hide it enough, they will have to take time to break into your car and then find switches in order to start your car. it's generally far too long for a thief to spend on a car unless he wants to get caught.

Even in the s2000 its pretty pountless. I own an s2000, you still have to put in a key and then actually TURN the key. Then of course you have to hit the button. Its sorta cool and all but i wish you didnt have to turn the key or have anything like a key.
My bimmer is much slicker, there is no key, you just have a key fob which looks like an alarm remote, and whenever you get close to the car the car knows its you and allows you in. Then you just get in and hit the start button. No keys.

What are you talking about?? The S2000 start button is only like $40 from an OEM honda parts supplier.
I think it adds a touch of F1 racing to the interior, the whole reason it's in the S2000. Also, DC5 Integra Type-R's have them as an option. If you like it, go for it, don't listen to what H-T haters say.
