sounds like he has a starter button FROM a S2000 in his car. how did you hook it up? how many wires? check for continuity? and what car is it in?

it is a button FROM an S2000, I have a 94 civic coupe, I used 3 wires, one to ground, one to the switch (blk/wht), and one to 12v when key is in on position (blk/ylw). The connections are good, and the standard key works fine for starting.

I read somewhere that you need a relay when hooking these up other wise the button will fail after a while, but the guy I got it from said that you don't need them on Hondas. I am starting to think that guy did not know what he is talking about.
