Default Only come in if you have done MANY B-Series swaps!

Hey guys...

I have done my fair share of swaps in the past... and seem to have learned something new with my latest build. Apparently, the torque mounts underneath each side of the frame of the car DIFFER from Civic to Integra.

I bought a used set of OEM GS-R mounts w/ inserts, went to bolt them up to the cars frame, and noticed there is a tab/nubb on top of the mount that won't allow it to sit flush to the frame.

Has anyone ever cut these off before? I don't think I have my Civic stock mounts anymore, and I'd like to retain these inserts I have. ?

Your supposed to use the OEM civic frame rail mounts; while using the integra brackets.

I dont see how grinding/removing the nub would cause much of a problem. It might cause stress on the framerail when you tighten them; and cause the back nut to become loose; which happens quite often.

Hmm...

I think I will notch the Integra mounts... The Civic mounts are all open at the top and don't offer much support... hm, decisions...

I've done quite a few b-series in civic swap in my times, and i only ran into those little bumps in the 96-00 civic. what i did was just drill out the 2 spot welds and popped out that metal peice, i mean it shouldn't affect anything, because the EM1's dont have that.
