Im poppin the code p1508 which means idle air control circuit failure. I need to clear the code to pass inspection. The car was an automatic the person who owned the car before converted it to a 5 speed. If i hold the gas at about 1600 rpms the idle will jump up about 200 rpms and come back down as long as i hold it there. It runs perfect the only problem is my damn check engine light There is still a 3-wire IACV which came on the automatics. Would I have to get a new intake manifold and throttle body from a manual d16y8 to convert it to a two wire plug?? Or is there an eaiser way?
