Trunk Sensor reading wrong?
the sensor that tells if the trunk is open or closed is all screwed up and is always saying my trunk is open, this is a big problem because my alarm arms itself after a minute and when it senses the trunk is open it goes off, so im afraid to leave my car in a parking lot for a long period of time. ive tried screwing with it but nothing seems to work. i dont know where the problem could be. any help is appreciated
thanks

this should be in the security forum. but.. i'll be kind. check the trunk pin... the wires should in in the trunk light itself. if u unplug that and it's still doing that. then maybe the alarm installation is fault and sending a ground(-) to the trunk pin giving it a false reading. i've seen it before. was it doing this before the alarm install or is it a factory alarm? if it is a factory alarm then it has to be the pin unless someone was fooling around in ur kickpanel.

Re: (perseverance)
no its not a factory alarm, and it just started doing this like 3 days ago, and the Trunk light comes on on my dash so im guessing its the pin, im not sure. and when you say "pins" yu mean the little hook and stuff right? theres a wire that runs to there, im guessing thats just the trunk release wire though.
