Default what is going on with the R18???

just got a black '07 Civic Ex!!! been waiting 5 years to get back into a japaniese car and it feels good!!! But what is going on with that engine??? Why no headers? Did emissions get that strict? How is the engine going to respond with a straight pipe? And are there any cat-backs out there for this Civic yet? And what would be the power yeld with a cat-back and and intake? It is my first Honda, and I'm burning to mod it! I guess one good thing about the exhaust part of the head is that you can hang a nice T3 on there!

welcome friend

you have A LOT OF RESEARCH to do

look through some of the older topics.. the "whats crackin w/the R18" has been beatin to death

AJP has made a turbo kit for it, like i said, search and you will find answers here in the 2006+ forum

.....You'd have to fab the crap out of it to hang a t3 on there.... and the headers are built directly into the block.

There is an exhaust out specifically for the R18 check this website, it's a magnaflow exhaust, pretty good from what I hear:
http://www.hottexhaust.com

when you check out hit enter coupon code and put in "jetta'' -it'll expire after a while so I recommend using it fairly soon.

Power yeilds with an exhaust and intake vary depending on what exhaust, and what intake you get.

Highly recommend Injen for an intake.

The header is built directly into the head.

And there are already a few compaines that make turbo kits for the R18 .. most of which I'm sure allow for fitment of at least a T3 turbo
