newly bought 2000 civic ex - best exhaust?
Hey, I'm looking around for a good exhaust system i can add to my civic. I want to add horse power and have a deeper tone sound to it also. Any suggestions I can check out that you guys have?
What's your budget and what will be the purpose of the car? The best exhaust will be a very loud race exhaust for more power. The worst exhaust will be a stock quiet one.
imma hit you both in the head with a hammer for stupidity, SEARCH.
loud dont mean fast, quite dont mean slow. exhaust in your 00 will just give sound, no HP

I know it doesn't. Look at the highest hp hondas, yes they are loud and have big *** exhausts. turbo or NA.

well the answer has been given.. on a stock car.. there are not really any exhausts out there that are going to create any positive performance increase.. someone in the thread asked what your overall plans for the car are so that maybe they could offer a better choice in modifications... you may want to start with say suspension.. because it will be something that you can instantly enjoy AND something that will actually change the experience you have in the car... where as exhaust will basicly just make it sound different..

i have a greddy evo 2 on my car(99 ex coupe).... but not like him ^^ my exhaust is pretty quit, just get a deep sound. I love it, as far as power goes, i would say its better to have than not have, i mean, you don't feel much, maybe a little more power in the high end, but stock d16 will always lack tq in the low end.

haha bro let me help you out. right now since you havent done anything major to your car. get the cheapest one you can find and one that looks best on your car. REALLY trust me. also be sure to keep your entire stock exhuast system, because you never know when your gona have to move across country and have to drive that bitch. haha like im gona have to do. for some reason i use more gas now that i have a full cat back on my DX. used to get close to 40 mpg but not anymore. but the thing is really im trying to help save you some money. get a cheap one if you arent planning to do anything big yet.
